A Name and Legacy Inspired by the Hassayampa River
Hassayampa Smokehouse Barbecue isn’t just a place to eat in Wickenburg. The name comes from the Yavapai word for “following the water as far as it goes,” a tribute to the legendary upside-down river that runs beneath our town. Our story is grounded in this land and the people who call it home. Since opening in 2020, our barbecue has been a gathering spot for families, roping competitors, and locals who appreciate real Texas-style smoked meats. In 2025, Tabitha Sinclair—a Wickenburg resident since 1993—became owner after serving as General Manager. Her leadership preserves the smokehouse’s legacy recipes and its neighborly, come-as-you-are atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a hearty Cowboy Benedict, a smoked brisket sandwich, or a morning Bloody Mary, you’re experiencing a slice of Wickenburg’s heritage. What makes your barbecue unique in Wickenburg?
Our Texas-style brisket and corned beef are smoked in-house daily. We’re the only spot in town with a morning liquor license, serving a full bar alongside breakfast and brunch favorites.
Are reservations required for large groups or families?
Reservations are recommended for parties of five or more. Our seating for large groups is limited, so calling ahead ensures the best experience for your visit.
Do you offer a kids’ menu during every meal?
Yes, we have dedicated kids’ menus available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. We welcome families with options for every age.
Is catering available for events or parties?
At this time, we do not offer catering services. Our focus is on providing the best in-house dining experience at our Wickenburg location.
Where are you located and what are your hours?
Find us at 169 East Wickenburg Way. Breakfast is served Monday through Saturday, 8am to 11am; lunch and dinner until 8pm. Sunday brunch runs 8am to 2pm. Summer hours may vary.
